Over the years Chinnor Open Gardens has supported a huge number of charities and community organisations within the village and surrounding areas. All the profits from the event are awarded to these causes.
Here are a few examples of where your money goes.
In 2022 we awarded a grant to buy new kit for the Chinnor Youth Girl’s Football Club. Footie is a big deal here in the village so we’re really happy to lend our support.
We awarded a grant to the Village Centre’s Forget-Me-Knot Café – where those affected by and living with dementia can meet for friendship and support.
We awarded a grant to the Red Kite Family Centre in 2022 to help this charity support local families of children age five and under.
In 2022 we supported the Chinnor Parkinson’s Support Group with a grant.
The St Andrew’s School Association were the proud recipients of a grant in 2022 to help their own gardening project!
Chinnor Heritage were delighted with their 2022 award which helped support their ongoing project to record the village’s rich history.
Ladybird Pre School were awarded a grant in 2022 to buy some new outdoor play items for the children.
In 2021 a grant was awarded to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway Association to protect the rare orchids in their grounds.
Chinnor 1st Scouts were keen to put their award to immediate good use after Open Gardens, summer 2021.
We were delighted to award a grant in 2021 to Mill Lane Community Garden for their transformational garden project.
In 2021 one of our grants went to Chinnor Village Centre to help them in their role as a community hub.
A very important grant funding was made to Chinnor’s 1st Responders towards the purchase of new defibrillator equipment.

Chinnor Reading Room, Chinnor Youth Club, Jack & Jill PreSchool, Thomley Hall, Junior Silver Band, St Andrew’s School, The Wee Bookshop and Greening Chinnor to name but a few!
