A small cottage courtyard garden like no other!
A small but well stocked cottage courtyard garden with a mix of traditional and modern. Lots of pots! Two steps access to the back garden. Unsuitable for wheelchairs and dogs.
The house is around 180 years old with the back garden only coming around the 1940's, when the tiny strip of land was purchased from the neighbouring property. I have lived here for 35 years and the garden has taken on a complete transformation over these years, from the outside toilet building being removed in the early 90's and 2 deep wells being discovered, to then make way for a soft lawn for the children to play on...
When they grew up, I grabbed it for myself with my ever growing passion for gardening! Today the plants in the soil have established themselves to give a lovely colourful border around the garden and I have filled in with a mix of planted and pots. I have a slim long courtyard area down the side of the house which is planted out fully with pots of all shapes and sizes! 2 steps then lead to the small garden area. I have managed to create a well stocked cottage garden with a mix of traditional and modern. Unfortunately the garden is unsuitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs
I am thrilled to be part of Chinnor Open Gardens and will be showing this year for over 10 years! Coming together with like local minded garden lovers has inspired me greatly. I am a number one advocate that being outside, has a profound effect for metal health and wellbeing and how best to show this by sharing your creations with others.
